The most hazardous building material ever employed is undoubtedly asbestos. Asbestos exposure causes thousands of illnesses and fatalities every year, and the building sector used it extensively up until the year 2000.All work with materials containing asbestos is covered by the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR), which are applicable to employers, employees, self-employed people, and duty holders. According to CAR Regulation 10, every employer is required to make sure that workers who are likely to be exposed to asbestos receive proper information, training, and instruction. Maintenance personnel and others who might come into contact with or disrupt asbestos are included in this.
