Safeguarding Adults Training has been created to ensure that all of us are able to enjoy our basic human rights, such as the right to be healthy, happy and treated well. It’s important to follow guidelines, policies, and procedures. So that we can protect ourselves and each other from any abuse or neglect. This course is designed for those who take care of adults. Whether they are professionals or volunteers in domiciliary care, the NHS, community centers, prisons, or in homes. We have a responsibility to protect vulnerable adults so they can live safe lives where they feel supported and have control over their own choices. Through this Safeguarding Adults Training, you’ll become more familiar with safeguarding principles and how they apply to your role. You’ll learn key terms related to safeguarding; understand laws set up to minimize abuse; recognize the ten types of abuse; identify and report any concerns on abuse; be aware of your own responsibilities and boundaries; make sure people are supported when making their own decisions; and manage the environment appropriately.
